A FEW WORDS

FROM OUR REDDAM HOUSE FOUNDER

“The strength and consistency of the Reddam House Group’s educational principals is largely due to the solid foundation laid by a strong team of skilled and experienced educators. While independent schools are rightly proud of their tradition, the Reddam Group’s education system has been deconstructed, every part examined and reassembled as a new super-performing, global operation. As a result of our continuous success and achievements, “excellence” has become a word we use unashamedly.”

Graeme Crawford

REDDAM HOUSE BEDFORDVIEW

Reddam House Bedfordview is situated in the serenity of the old Kensington golf course, high above the gold-bearing reefs of Egoli, amid Victorian homes of a bygone era.

The school spans two sites. The Early Learning School and the Junior Preparatory School enjoy their own, purpose-built environment in the Neo-Classical style. In 2012 the ELS underwent a major refurbishment to convert the facilities to support the Reggio Emilia–inspired Reddam House philosophy. The classrooms are set in intimate clusters with a junior hall and a library in the centre. The five acres Junior Campus spreads over park-like sports fields and a playground environment.

The Senior Preparatory and Secondary School are modern and geometric, linked by a series of catwalks and open stairwells on a vast site covering 20 acres, boasting art, drama, dance and music studios, computer and science labs, a hall and a library. There is also a magnificent staff lounge and staff facilities. The grounds include two rugby fields, a brand new AstroTurf hockey field, four tennis courts, a swimming pool and a wetland for nature studies.
